Snow Day 04:06
Wake up each morning, take a shower, Then I'm into my clothes. It's been the same thing every single day, As long as I know. I'm feeling busy with my work and school, It's like I'm in hell. I've done some thinking, And I'm gonna take some time for myself. I'm kind of feeling like a snow day. I'll just lay in bed all day with you. Woo-hoo-hoo. And baby, lately my boss been giving me a hard time. And If I could I'd like to give him a piece of my mind. So now I'll finally sit back and take a look at the world. Take the day and spend some quality time with my girl. I'm kind of feeling like a snow day. I'll just lay in bed all day with you. Woo-hoo-hoo. Baby, there's nothing wrong with taking a snow day, If you need a snow day. Baby, there's nothing right with working every single day Of your life. I'm feeling busy with my work and school, It's like I'm in hell. I've done some thinking, And I'm gonna take some time for myself.

Foolish Man 02:45
Foolish man, though he'll never have anything He speaks as though he owns the land and the sea. And that foolish man is pointing his finger, Trying to make a fool of you and of me. Foolish man is practicing law, and he Drives a big car, and shares his love in vain. And that foolish man thinks he's already won, But in fact he's never even played the game. Foolish man, I don't know where he came from, Or where he will go when he dies. But that foolish man looks in the mirror, and sees Someone better than you, in his eyes. Honest man works his hands to the bone, so that He can provide for his wife and his kid. He puts food on the table, bought a beautiful home, And there's no place that he'd rather live. Honest man gets off early from work one day, And drives home to visit his lovely wife. He opens the front door, and to his surprise, He finds his wife in bed with some foolish guy. He says "Foolish man, I don't know where you came from, But now is the hour of your death." And that honest man loaded a bullet, And he shot that damn foolish man in his head.

about

This is an A/B sided single from my "Singles Collection," a series of three two-song releases from the summer of 2009. Each one used artwork from an original painting for the cover.

"Snow Day" is a song about the seemingly never-ending workload that lots of people face, and giving yourself a little break from that daily grind.
"Foolish Man" is a story song that is very self-explanatory.

All of the tracks were recorded running the microphone through a vintage (early 50s) tube amp unit, to give it a different kind of sound.
